Watercolor at Will
Session description
For me, watercolor painting is above all about joy, freshness, spontaneity, and freedom. It’s this sense of lightness, playfulness, and discovery that I try to convey in my artwork and to my students.
This workshop offers a creative retreat in a calm and rejuvenating setting, surrounded by nature. It’s designed for people who want to take the time to breathe, rest, and eat well—but also to awaken their artistic sensibility in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere.
During this class, we’ll work with just three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. Using this simple palette, we’ll discover a wealth of nuances, color combinations, and moods. Participants will learn to create luminous colors, soft tones, natural greens, delicate shadows, and colorful grays.
The goal is not to produce a “perfect” painting, but to paint with joy, freedom, and curiosity. Each watercolor painting will become a little adventure, with its own surprises, discoveries, and unique results.
We’ll explore subjects inspired by nature: trees, branches, foliage, flowers, skies, and landscapes. We’ll learn to paint directly with a brush—sometimes without a preliminary sketch—to develop a freer, more lively, and spontaneous style.
This class invites everyone to slow down, observe, feel, and simply create. True inspiration often arises while we’re painting, and during this workshop, we’ll seek it out together.
